The 2010 ranking published by FUNDACIÓN MAPFRE shows the strength of the sector, with premiums of €90,316 million, a 19.2% increase.

MAPFRE ACHIEVED IN THE FIRST NINE MONTHS A NET ATTRIBUTABLE RESULT OF €765.6 MILLION, AN 8.7% RISE; REVENUES INCREASED OVER 12% (€17,563.9 MILLION).
MAPFRE achieved in the first nine months of the year a net attributable result of €765.6 million, 8.7% more than in the same period of the previous year, due to the favourable business development in Spain, especially in the Motor, Home and Life Assurance lines, and the excellent performance of the international business.

MAPFRE achieved in the first half of the year a net attributable result of €543.2 million, 8.6% more than in the same period of the previous year, due to the extraordinary growth of results in the international business and the excellent performance of businesses in Spain where, excluding capital gains and extraordinary expenses, net results grew by 16.8%.

STANDARD & POOR'S RAISES THE RATING ON MAPFRE USA'S SUBSIDIARIES TO A+ WITH STABLE OUTLOOK
The rating agency Standard & Poor's has raised its counterparty credit and financial strength ratings on MAPFRE USA's subsidiaries –Commerce and Citation– from A to A+ with stable outlook.

NET ATTRIBUTABLE RESULT WAS 530.6 MILLION EUROS The diversification of the Group's businesses and its prudent and professional management allowed it to slightly increase (0.2%) the net attributable result versus the first half 2008, while the recurrent result grew 5.5% to 492.9 million euros.
